INTRODUCTION
Accidents and incidents are mostly preventable in modern businesses, unfortunately they still occur. Therefore an important aspect in Safety Management is the availability of trained first aiders, which is also a legal requirement. On completion of the course the learner will
be in the position to provide first aid to injured employees.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
On completion of the course the learner will be able to define, describe and apply the requirements to provide first aid in the workplace.
COURSE CONTENT
The content of the course is designed on SETA, Department of Labour requirements and OHS Act principles and is outcomes based driven. The construction of the content is focused to achieve maximum participation as well as ensuring positive learning outcomes, and include the following training criteria:
