INTRODUCTION
Sub-standard Stacking and Storage principles are one of the major contributors to industrial accidents injuries. Without proper principles implemented and maintained the storage areas can become a death trap. Most companies are also forced to stack outside the legal parameters, and therefore need to apply for exemption at the Department of Labour, without proper knowledge and effective OHS practices implemented the application will be denied.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
On completion of this course the learners will be able to understand the role of OHS with respect to Safe Stacking and Storing and will be able to perform their responsibilities to be in line with the OHS Act.
OUTCOMES
On completion of the course learners will be equipped with the processes and techniques to assist management with safety management in the stacking and storage practices of the company. The learner will further be able to define and describe and apply:
