About BMS Holdings

BMS Holdings started as a health and safety consultancy in Cape Town, helping businesses understand what the OHS Act asks of them and put it into practice. As our clients' needs grew, so did we: into training, thermal imaging, ISO implementation and occupational medicals, so one team could look after the whole picture.

Along the way we saw the same problem everywhere: compliance buried in paperwork. That led to two software companies in the BMS group. SHEQ24 runs a company's whole health and safety system online, and My Safety File generates construction safety files in minutes.

Today we work with businesses of every size, from SMEs to JSE-listed companies, with a strong base in food and beverage manufacturing. BMS Holdings is the trading name of Business Made Safe Holdings (Pty) Ltd, based at The Colosseum in Century City.

Any business can buy a safety file. It sits on a shelf until an inspector or an incident tests it, and then it often fails, because nobody on site knows what's in it.

We work the other way around. We train supervisors to run their own risk assessments, build ISO systems that fit how your business already works, and keep training records in a form that answers the first question in every investigation: "Was the person trained, and can you prove it?"

2. Prioritise. We rank what we find by risk, so the most serious issues are dealt with first.
3. Build competence. We fix the gaps with your team, not around them.
4. Prove it. You end with records that show what was done, by whom and when.
