Does BMS certify companies to ISO standards?
No. BMS is an implementation consultant. Certificates are issued by independent certification bodies, which in South Africa should be accredited by SANAS. We build the system with you and support you through the certification audits. ISO's own rules require consulting and certification to be kept separate.
Which ISO standard should we start with?
Start with the standard your customers or tenders ask for. If there's no outside pressure, choose by your biggest risk: ISO 45001 for high-risk operations, ISO 14001 if you have significant waste, effluent or emissions, and ISO 9001 if consistency and customer complaints are the main concern. All three can be added later into one system.
How long does ISO implementation take?
It depends on your starting point, the number of sites and how much time your team can give the project. Adding a second standard to an existing system is usually quicker because the core structure is already in place. We give you a realistic timeline after the gap analysis.
How much does ISO implementation cost?
The cost depends on the standard, the number of sites and employees, and how much of a system you already have. After a short scoping call or gap analysis we give you a written quote. The certification body's audit fees are separate and paid to them directly.
